This terrific heavy webber from South America grows to around 4" across with stunning blue legs and a gold carapace with a more lanky appearance.
Like many other curtain web spiders this species has the signature elongated spinnerettes used for one thing: throwing "curtains" of web (hence their common name).
Curtain webs are fun to keep due to their larger size (compared to other non tarantula mygalomorphs), great feeding response and of course making sheets of web all over the cage, foliage and anything else they can find.
